A proposed paper entitled: Characterizing landscapes in regional risk governance has been accepted for inclusion in a special issue of the International Journal of Performability and Engineering.
The topic of the special issue will be Risk Governance and Risk Communication.
In this paper we will propose a framework and procedure to characterize a regional risk governance landscape. Our intent is to develop an analytical tool to help paint a picture that would convey valuable information to many individual decision making parties whose individual and collective interests would be furthered by coordinating decisions on a regional level. We propose to demonstrate this framework using the example of hydraulic fracturing for oil and gas in the USA.
